We moved to Klasse Woods in the summer of 2008, choosing this location in part because of its pristine potential. Situated on the eastern side of the 120 square miles known as the Spruce Woods Provincial Park and just north of the Assiniboine River we are surrounded mostly by forest and widelife management lands - there is very little ariable land nearby which is so often saturated with chemicals. Thus even the ground water is more pure.
We have found the clean air, plenty of pure fresh water, good soil and trees at Klasse Woods to be a perfect spot to raise our family, grow our own food and some extra for others like you who would like the benefits we have, but can't get it where you live.
Ken & Darlene have raised and homeschooled their family in southern Manitoba on a small farm: sincerily in love with Jesus Christ.
We consider it a great blessing to be able to live and work "at the cottage" - while most folks live in town and retreat to the cottage on weekends, we live at the retreat and venture to town occasionally as needed.
We are richly blessed to live, work and learn together as a family. Some have moved on to their own homesteads and families.
Our purpose is to show the faithfulness of the Lord in our lives, give others the opportunity to benefit from healthy foods like we do, as well as give you a glimpse of our life on the farm.
